All of the mentor programs described on this page are designed around a single, narrow purpose: help a solo consultant (or very small practice) win more projects from more clients at higher fees. If that’s your interest, there is no better resource in the world than these programs. On the other hand, if you’re concerned with operational issues, infrastructure, delivery approaches, etc., I’m not your guy. Scaling? Yes. Products? Yes. Back-end systems? No.

Elite Consultant Mentor Program

Six months with a single goal in mind: help you win more projects from more clients at higher fees. We will focus entirely on that goal and make significant gains in your business. This program is 100% customized, and is driven by YOU. I respond to specific questions and issues you bring to me. Our discussions can be strategic (setting fees, marketing, positioning, etc.), and/or tactical (what to say in tomorrow’s speech, critiquing approaches).

If you’re ready to create dynamic growth and have the discipline to call in help when you need it, this program will deliver in spades.

During the term of this program you will have unlimited access to me by phone and email. I return all phone calls within 120 minutes during business hours and all emails within one business day. Usually much faster.

If the Elite Consultant Mentor Program is right for you, we will start by assessing your current situation, goals, value propositions, market position and issues. We will then establish goals for the program and jump into action.

Massive Revenue Acceleration

This includes everything in the Elite Consultant Mentor Program and adds components designed for consultants who want a more intensive, revenue-generating engine fueling their practice.

While the program is designed for experienced consultants who want to accelerate results, it has also proven to be extremely effective for executives launching their consulting practice. In this program we work closely together during the first two weeks to build a focused, tightly constructed action plan which will accelerate your results. The action plan will concentrate on the highest priority items for your specific situation. Specific dates and tasks will be outlined and at least twice a month we will have a one-on-one discussion. I will hold you accountable for delivering against the plan. I will also, of course, provide guidance and feedback to give you the greatest possible likelihood of success.

Approximately 13 scheduled, one-on-one calls with in-depth guidance on how to grow your business; plus you have unlimited access to me for the entire six months.

Irresistible Consultant Program

My flagship program is for consultants who are already successful and want to break through to a whole new level of income and revenue. For those that qualify, this is a totally unique program in which we partner financially to build your business. The results have been phenomenal: The average increase in revenue is 87% for consultants who have been through a term of the Irresistible Consultant Program. (Results vary, of course, and there is no guarantee your revenue will increase.)

In the Irresistible Consultant Program you get unlimited, rapid-response access to me for twelve months, at least 24 one-on-one calls with in-depth guidance on how to grow your business and close specific clients, plus online video lessons, soft copy versions of the presentations, and almost two dozen exercises and worksheets designed to make you a more successful consultant.

Due to the nature of this program, eligibility is limited to consultants who have earned at least $100,000 in consulting revenue during each of the prior three years.We are partners in this program– you will be asked to verify your income and you will be sharing financial data.

Your Investment and Commitment

Elite Consultant Mentor Program – Your commitment in this program is to work with me for six months to grow your practice. Since you drive the program, you are responsible for calling and emailing. Some consultants call multiple times each day, others call only a few times a month. The investment is $4,800 for the full six-month term. This fee is easily recouped through the increase in projects and fees.

Massive Revenue Acceleration – Your commitment in this program is to partner with me for six months to grow your practice. You’ll show up for the meetings we schedule and work diligently on the tasks we agree to. If you don’t complete the tasks, you’ll let me know what’s in the way so that we can jointly remove all obstacles to your success. The investment is $9,400 for the full six-month term.


Irresistible Consultant Program – This program is often full because most participants sign up for additional terms. If you are interested in joining the program, please contact me to determine whether you qualify. Your commitment in this program is to partner with me for a full year to grow your practice. In addition to your commitment to work diligently on your business during our year-long partnership, you will also be reporting your new-business pipeline and your revenues to me– this is a partnership to build your income. The investment is $9,800 for the full, 12-month term plus a percentage of your incremental revenue over a baseline we jointly establish. Who are you and why should I work with you?

I am the Managing Director of the Ascendant Consortium and author of The Executive’s Guide to Consultants (McGraw-Hill, 2012). Since 1997 I’ve been selling millions of dollars of consulting and over the past five years I have helped hundreds of consultants around the world enjoy the rewards of a lucrative practice by landing more projects with higher value and higher fees. In my unique position leading the Ascendant Consortium, in which I often help my clients select the best agency for a project, I have seen hundreds of pitches – good and bad. What if I can’t start right away?

No problem. It’s not unusual for consultants to sign up 3-6 months in advance. Reserve your space using one of the “Reserve My Space” buttons and we’ll get started whenever you’re ready.

What if I need to take a break?

If significant issues outside your consultancy arise (an illness, a major life event), you may take up to a two-month “time out.” If you are in the Irresistible Consultant Program, the shared revenue includes your time out period.

Is there a “trial period?”

If you’re unsure whether or not to join a mentor program, please review the testimonials and/or call me to discuss whether the program is a good fit for you. There are no trial programs. We partner for six month terms and you get tremendous value from start to finish.

Can I pay in installments?

Absolutely. Call me to set up an installment plan. We’ll get started on the program as soon as your fees are paid in full.

What are typical results?

Results vary, of course. One consultant who had been selling $5-10k projects sold a $300k project within about 8 weeks of our starting together. That’s not typical, though. The average consultant who has been through the 12-month Irresistible Consultant Program has increased revenue 87%. There are no guarantees, though the more you put in the more you can expect to get out. None of my programs are get-rich-quick schemes and your results will depend on your skills, your market and your drive for success.
